Janitor Defender – My game for the GameDevTV Gamejam

I’m excited to announce the release of my game, “Janitor Defender,” for the GameDevTV GameJam! While the game isn’t fully finished yet, I am committed to developing and expanding it over the next few weeks. Due to the limited time available for the GameJam, the construction mechanism and level design aren’t where I want them to be, but rest assured, improvements are on the way.

“Janitor Defender” puts you in the shoes of a janitor defending an abandoned bunker from angry robot invaders. All the assets, excluding the sound, are made by myself. The sound is licensed as CC0 from freesound.org. The game is written in GDScript in the Godot Game Engine, and the 3D models are created with Blender.

The game is open source, and you are welcome to fork it if you wish. The code is available on my GitHub page. You can also participate by opening issues on GitHub if you have ideas, or if you find any bugs or glitches. Despite the current limitations, I’m passionate about enhancing the game and delivering a more polished experience. Your feedback is invaluable as I work on refining the gameplay, adding new features, and perfecting the level design. Stay tuned for updates and thank you for your support!

GameDev.tv gamejam starts today

I’m participating in the GameDev.tv Game Jam, which starts today. For this event, I’ll be using the Godot Engine to develop my game. Once the jam begins, the theme will be announced, and I’ll dive into the project. Throughout the process, I’ll share updates and insights on my socials. Additionally, I’ll make the game’s source code available on my GitHub for those interested in following along or contributing. Stay tuned for more details as the jam progresses.
